Born on October 30, 1914 in Zealandia, Saskatchewan (Canada), Lefty Wilkie (Aldon Jay Wilkie) played for the Pittsburgh Pirates for his entire 3 year career. Wilkie broke into the bigs on April 22, 1941 with the Pittsburgh Pirates, and put up a 4.56 ERA in 79 innings pitched in 1941, his rookie year.
