Lefty West

Born on September 3, 1915 in Gibsonville, North Carolina, Lefty West (Weldon Edison West) played for the St. Louis Browns for his entire 2 year career. West broke into the bigs on April 30, 1944 with the St. Louis Browns, and put up a 3.63 ERA in 74.1 innings pitched in 1945, his rookie year.
