Lefty Smoll

Born on April 17, 1914 in Quakertown, Pennsylvania, Lefty Smoll (Clyde Hetrick Smoll) played for the Philadelphia Phillies for his entire 1 year career. Smoll broke into the bigs on April 26, 1940 with the Philadelphia Phillies, and put up a 5.37 ERA in 109 innings pitched in 1940, his rookie year.
