Born on May 12, 1910 in Dedham, Massachusetts, Lefty Mills (Howard Robinson Mills) played for the St. Louis Browns for his entire 5 year career. Mills broke into the bigs on June 10, 1934 with the St. Louis Browns, and put up a 5.31 ERA in 210.1 innings pitched in 1938, his rookie year.

Most people believe that Lefty Mills's best season was 1938, when he won 10 games and struck out 134 batters.
