Born on August 13, 1886 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Lefty George (Thomas Edward George) played for the St. Louis Browns, Cleveland Naps, Cincinnati Reds and Boston Braves over the course of his 4 year career. George broke into the bigs on April 14, 1911 with the St. Louis Browns, and put up a 4.18 ERA in 116.1 innings pitched in 1911, his rookie year.
