Lee Stokes (Lee James Stokes) was born on August 24, 1913 in Shreveport, Louisiana. Stokes attended Centenary College of Louisiana. Stokes made his professional debut in the NFL in 1937 with the Detroit Lions. He played for the Detroit Lions and Chicago Cardinals over the course of his 4 year career.
