Lee Mazzilli (Lee Louis Mazzilli) was born on March 25, 1955 in New York, New York. He made his Major League debut on September 7, 1976 for the New York Mets. In 1977, his rookie year, he hit .250 with 6 home runs and 46 RBI. Mazzilli played for the New York Mets, Texas Rangers, New York Yankees, Pittsburgh Pirates and Toronto Blue Jays over the course of his 14 year career.

There is some disagreement on what was Lee Mazzilli's most productive season. Some believe that it was 1979, when he slugged 15 home runs, stole 34 bases, hit for a .303 average and knocked in 79 runs. However, others believe that it was 1980, when he slugged 16 home runs, stole 41 bases, hit for a .280 average and knocked in 76 runs.
