Lee May (Lee Andrew May) was born on March 23, 1943 in Birmingham, Alabama. He made his Major League debut on September 1, 1965 for the Cincinnati Reds. In 1967, his rookie year, he hit .265 with 12 home runs and 57 RBI. May played for the Cincinnati Reds, Houston Astros, Baltimore Orioles and Kansas City Royals over the course of his 17 year career.

Most people believe that Lee May's best season was 1969, when he slugged 38 home runs, hit for a .278 average and knocked in 110 runs.
