Born on November 22, 1958 in Chattanooga, Tennessee, Lee Guetterman (Arthur Lee Guetterman) played for the Seattle Mariners, New York Yankees, New York Mets and St. Louis Cardinals over the course of his 11 year career. Guetterman broke into the bigs on September 12, 1984 with the Seattle Mariners, and put up a 7.34 ERA in 76 innings pitched in 1986, his rookie year.

Most people believe that Lee Guetterman's best season was 1989, when he posted a 2.45 ERA, notched 13 saves and struck out 51 batters.
