LeBron Listed as Day-to-Day

Cleveland Cavaliers Small Foward, LeBron James is listed as day-to-day with a sprained left index finger which he suffered during last night's game versus the 9-5 Detroit Pistons.  James underwent an MRI, and yesterday which revealed that his finger was sprained, the team announced earlier today.

Cleveland lost the game 109-74, as Cleveland fell to 9-7.  James played for just 20 minutes, and was still the Cavs' leading scorer with 15 points.  LeBron had 1 rebound, and 3 Assists.  The Cavs fell apart after LeBrons injury, and ended up losing by 35 points.

I know that it's probably hard to play Basketball with a sprained finger, but I really don't see why LeBron had to sit out thr whole rest of the game, he gave his team no hope, and I especially question this decision since they were facing the Pistons.  LeBron destroyed the Cavs hope in that game.  LeBron IS the Cavs, behind LeBron the Cavaliers have nobody, and I mean nobody.  The Cavs need someone to help out LeBron, I am very surprised that they got so far last year.

LeBron averages 30.7 PPG, and the guy on Cleveland who is second to LeBron in PPG, is Power Foward, Drew Gooden, who averages 14.7 PPG.  While LeBron is an outstanding player, I just don't think he is a team player, for a few reasons.  1) He doesn't have a decent team around him, which isn't his fault, it's the organization's fault, so in order to give the Cavs a chance, he has to be a ball hog.  And, 2) He puts himself in front of the team.  While it's important to stay healthy, and not risk further injury, I also think LeBron could have returned to the game, he doesn't have to get the ball as much, but he could have at least stayed in there and pass the ball to his teammates, and given them a better chance at winning the game.

There is no way that this team is going to win any championships.  And, LeBron shouldn't be compared to MJ (although I was guilty of doing so).  LJ is just too injury prone to be compared to MJ.

Bottom Line: LEBRON SHOULD HAVE PLAYED LAST NIGHT

But, that's just my opinion.

They lost by 35. I dunno if even Lebron could fix that with 24 or so extra minutes.

Lebron is a great player. I will agree that he holds the ball too much, but look at the team that Danny Ferry has put around him. You would hold the ball, too. I don't see why your so mad that Lebron sat. Would it have been worth it for him to potentially mess up his finger even more?
