LeBron Eliminated from Playoffs

The Detroit Pistons eliminated LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers from the NBA Playoffs. The Cavs played their worst second half of the year on Sunday. LeBron received no help from his teammates and struggled in the second half. With eight minutes left in the game, the Cavs were just 3-of-17 from the floor in the second half. James scored 21 in the first half but had just one point in the third, finished with 27 points on 11-of-24 shooting. The Cavs shot just 31% for the game.

I wish I had watched some of this series. Sounds like it was a great one. Do you guys who follow think Lebron has taken the next step? Will he be an all-time great?

There's no doubt. He's the class of the league, and the league has a lot of bright young talent -- Wade, Kobe, etc.

This season was the next step. I can't even imagine what the step after this is going to be. He was arguably the most productive player in the entire NBA, at age 21. Barring injury, we're not looking at the "Next Jordan"... we're looking at a player that could eventually surpass Jordan as the GOAT. Think Magic Johnson's peak game + 10 extra points per game of scoring, and that's LeBron. There isn't enough you can say about LBJ's game to do it justice.

He is the most hyped high school player of all time, and he has to lived up to it. People keep trying to compare him to Jordan after 3 seasons, and that is an unfair comparison. MJ spent 3 years at UNC under Dean Smith before going to the NBA. I consider that a huge advantage for Jordan. Comparing Lebron now to Jordan as a rookie is a better comparison.

Nike struck gold with that "witness" campaign. When watching him it's hard to not feel that you're witnessing something bigger than the game. It unbelievable and couldn't have come at a better time for the NBA. This entire playoff series has a slight march madness feel to it. Fantastic

Lebron is Oscar Robertson meets Michael, he is clearly the best thing to happen to the NBA since Mike! David Stern cried himself to sleep last night after Detroit won, having Lebron has made him look like the genius that has resurrected the excitement of the NBA. And watching Dwyane and Lebron battle for many many years to come will be fantastic.

Yes the James/Wade matchup is something lots of people wanted to see. Lebron is flat out incredible and physically gifted, even compared to other NBA players. He just has his way with anybody(s) guarding him AND he can pass the rock. Dude is so good it's retarded.
