Laz Chavez (Lazarus Emannuel Chavez) was born on December 20, 1963 in Port Chester, New York. After going to high school at Port Chester (NY), Chavez attended Iona College. Chavez made his professional debut in the NFL in 1987 with the Miami Dolphins. He played for the Miami Dolphins for his entire 1 year career.
