Lawrence Gaines (Lawrence Gaines) was born on December 15, 1953 in Vernon, Texas. After going to high school at Vernon (TX), Gaines attended the University of Wyoming. Gaines made his professional debut in the NFL in 1976 with the Detroit Lions. He played for the Detroit Lions for his entire 3 year career.
Most people believe that 1976 was Lawrence Gaines's best year, as he ran for 659 yards and ran in 4 TDs.
