Laval Short (Laval Howard Short) was born on September 29, 1958 in Nashville, Tennessee. After going to high school at Columbine (Littleton, CO) and East (Denver, CO), Short attended the University of Colorado. Short made his professional debut in the NFL in 1980 with the Denver Broncos. He played for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Denver Broncos over the course of his 2 year career.
