Larry Watkins (Lawrence Watkins) was born on October 5, 1946 in Bessemer, Alabama. After going to high school at J.S. Abrams (Bessemer, AL), Watkins attended Alcorn State University. Watkins made his professional debut in the NFL in 1969 with the Detroit Lions. He played for the New York Giants, Philadelphia Eagles, Buffalo Bills and Detroit Lions over the course of his 9 year career.
Most people believe that 1973 was Larry Watkins's best year.
