Larry Tearry (Larry Wayne Tearry) was born on April 24, 1956 in Erwin, North Carolina. After going to high school at E.E. Smith (Fayetteville, NC), Tearry attended Wake Forest University. Tearry made his professional debut in the NFL in 1978 with the Detroit Lions. He played for the Detroit Lions for his entire 2 year career.
