Larry Strickland (Lawrence Wayne Strickland) was born on September 3, 1931 in Tyler, Texas. After going to high school at John Tyler (Tyler, TX), Strickland attended Tyler Junior College and the University of North Texas. Strickland made his professional debut in the NFL in 1954 with the Chicago Bears. He played for the Chicago Bears for his entire 6 year career.
