Larry Stephens (Lawrence Clifton Stephens) was born on September 24, 1938 in Buda, Texas. After going to high school at Angelton (TX), Stephens attended the University of Texas. Stephens made his professional debut in the NFL in 1960 with the Cleveland Browns. He played for the Dallas Cowboys, Cleveland Browns and Los Angeles Rams over the course of his 8 year career.

Most people believe that 1960 was Larry Stephens's best year, as he ran back an interception for a touchdown.
