Larry Sheets (Larry Kent Sheets) was born on December 6, 1959 in Staunton, Virginia. He made his Major League debut on September 18, 1984 for the Baltimore Orioles. In 1985, his rookie year, he hit .262 with 17 home runs and 50 RBI. Sheets played for the Baltimore Orioles, Detroit Tigers and Seattle Mariners over the course of his 8 year career.

Most people believe that Larry Sheets's best season was 1987, when he slugged 31 home runs, hit for a .316 average and knocked in 94 runs.
