Larry Parrish (Larry Alton Parrish) was born on November 10, 1953 in Winter Haven, Florida. He made his Major League debut on September 6, 1974 for the Montreal Expos. In 1975, his rookie year, he hit .274 with 10 home runs and 65 RBI. Parrish played for the Montreal Expos, Texas Rangers and Boston Red Sox over the course of his 15 year career.

Most people believe that Larry Parrish's best season was 1979, when he slugged 30 home runs, hit for a .307 average and knocked in 82 runs.
