Born on February 10, 1954 in Wichita, Kansas, Larry McWilliams (Larry Dean McWilliams) played for the Atlanta Braves, Pittsburgh Pirates, St. Louis Cardinals, Philadelphia Phillies and Kansas City Royals over the course of his 13 year career. McWilliams broke into the bigs on July 17, 1978 with the Atlanta Braves, and put up a 2.81 ERA in 99.1 innings pitched in 1978, his rookie year.

Most people believe that Larry McWilliams's best season was 1983, when he posted a 3.25 ERA, won 15 games and struck out 199 batters.
