Born on January 13, 1944 in Midland, Michigan, Larry Jaster (Larry Edward Jaster) played for the St. Louis Cardinals, Montreal Expos and Atlanta Braves over the course of his 7 year career. Jaster broke into the bigs on September 17, 1965 with the St. Louis Cardinals, and put up a 3.26 ERA in 151.2 innings pitched in 1966, his rookie year.

There is some disagreement on what was Larry Jaster's most productive season. Some believe that it was 1967, when he posted a 3.01 ERA and struck out 87 batters. However, others believe that it was 1966, when he posted a 3.26 ERA, won 11 games and struck out 92 batters.
