Larry Hisle (Larry Eugene Hisle) was born on May 5, 1947 in Portsmouth, Ohio. He made his Major League debut on April 10, 1968 for the Philadelphia Phillies. In 1969, his rookie year, he hit .266 with 20 home runs and 56 RBI. Hisle played for the Philadelphia Phillies, Minnesota Twins and Milwaukee Brewers over the course of his 14 year career.

Most people believe that Larry Hisle's best season was 1977, when he slugged 28 home runs, hit for a .302 average and knocked in 119 runs.
