Larry Grantham (James Larry Grantham) was born on September 16, 1938 in Crystal Springs, Mississippi. After going to high school at Crystal Springs (MS), Grantham attended the University of Mississippi. Grantham made his professional debut in the AFL in 1960 with the New York Titans. He played in the AFL for 10 years, playing for the New York Jets and New York Titans over the course of his 10 year AFL career.Grantham also played in the NFL for 3 years, playing for the New York Jets the entire time.

Most people believe that 1967 was Larry Grantham's best year, as he picked off 5 passes.
