Larry Gilbert (Lawrence William Gilbert) was born on December 3, 1891 in New Orleans, Louisiana. He made his Major League debut on April 14, 1914 for the Boston Braves. In 1914, his rookie year, he hit .268 with 5 home runs and 25 RBI. Gilbert played for the Boston Braves for his entire 2 year career.
