Larry Ellis (Lawrence Richard Ellis, Jr.) was born on May 27, 1922 in York Village, Maine. Ellis attended Syracuse University. Ellis made his professional debut in the NFL in 1948 with the Detroit Lions. He played for the Detroit Lions for his entire 1 year career.
