Larry Elkins (Lawrence Clayton Elkins) was born on July 28, 1943 in Brownwood, Texas. After going to high school at Brownwood (TX), Elkins attended Baylor University. Elkins made his professional debut in the AFL in 1966 with the Houston Oilers. He played for the Houston Oilers for his entire 2 year career.

Most people believe that 1966 was Larry Elkins's best year.
