Larry Chappell (LaVerne Ashford Chappell) was born on February 19, 1890 in McClusky, Illinois. He made his Major League debut on July 18, 1913 for the Chicago White Sox. In 1913, his rookie year, he hit .231 with 0 home runs and 15 RBI. Chappell played for the Chicago White Sox and Boston Braves over the course of his 4 year career.
