Larry Carwell (Larry Neil Carwell) was born on August 5, 1944 in Vada, Georgia. After going to high school at Memorial (Campbell, OH), Carwell attended Iowa State University. Carwell made his professional debut in the AFL in 1967 with the Houston Oilers. He played in the AFL for 3 years, playing for the Houston Oilers and Boston Patriots over the course of his 3 year AFL career.Carwell also played in the NFL for 3 years, playing for the New England Patriots and Boston Patriots over the course of his 3 year NFL career.

Most people believe that 1968 was Larry Carwell's best year, as he picked off 4 passes and ran back an interception for a touchdown.
