Lamar Lathon (Lamar Lavantha Lathon) was born on December 23, 1967 in Wharton, Texas. After going to high school at Wharton (TX), Lathon attended the University of Houston. Lathon made his professional debut in the NFL in 1990 with the Houston Oilers. He played for the Houston Oilers and Carolina Panthers over the course of his 9 year career.
Most people believe that 1996 was Lamar Lathon's best year, as he recorded 13.5 sacks.
