Lake Roberson (James Lake Roberson) was born on August 5, 1918 in Clarksdale, Mississippi. After going to high school at Clarksdale (MS), Roberson attended the University of Mississippi. Roberson made his professional debut in the NFL in 1945 with the Detroit Lions. He played for the Detroit Lions for his entire 1 year career.
