LT or LJ

by PSU ROCKS

Ladanian Tomlison and Larry Johnson are both  great running backs, but who will have a more sucsesfull season in 2007. I personally think LT will because he has a lot of momentum this year but he may fall flat on his face trying to copy last year which alot of players do Big Ben is an example. But LJ's offensive line is not too impressive and with the possiblty of Priest Holmes coming back, it will be a battle for starter. One may even be traded if they dont get starter but that all depends on if Priest Holmes is healthy enough to play.

This one is a no brainer. Tomlinson hands down. You can't say Roethlisberger fell on his face, for one, the motorcycle accident derailed him, and second, he was a victim of poor pass protection at times (see the hit Bart Scott laid on him last season on a blindside blitz.) Johnson will be with a young, inexperienced QB in Brodie Croyle, no WR weapons to speak of, which means he and Tony Gonzalez will be the focal points of any defense facing the Chiefs. It boils down to the fact that the offense revolves around Tomlinson in SD, but they have enough weapons to take the heat off. Kansas City doesn't, which is why at best, they will be 6-10.

I agree, LT by a mile. Even if LJ was not having issues with his contract, this is not even close.

are you seriousley asking this question and even bothering to write an article on it every one and there mother knows the anwser is LT. LJ has been overworked as a youg player and he is paying for it LT has built up the stanima he needs to play the long and nfl season and have very productive ones each of the last few years he is a star and is one of the best players of all time by the time he is done in the NFL he might be the best RB of all time

Everybody seems to agree...It's Tomlinson, and it's not even close. Larry Johnson had 416 carries last year, breaking Jamaal Anderson's record for carries in a season. In 1999, the year after Anderson set the record with 410 carries, he had 19. I think it's a more than fair bet that Johnson will break down at some point this season.

First he has to even get into camp...while I am sure this will happen at some point, every day he misses is another day that KC has to try and comprise a game plan without him in it, and let's face it, the Chiefs are NOT the Colts when it comes to firepower.

Tomlinson because Larry Johnson is going to have no one to take the pressure off of the running game. The Chiefs passing game is suspect, especially if Brodie Croyle is the starting quarterback. Tomlinson is surronded with a great offensive line and a pretty good quarterback in Phillip Rivers. Barring injury there is no chance LT has a worse season than LJ.
