LSU - Alabama Game One of Best Ever

Don't know when I have enjoyed a college football game as much as the LSU-Alabama game last night unless it was the LSU-Kentucky overtime game a few weeks ago.
Just when either LSU or Alabama seemed to have the upper hand the other team would score to keep it close or take the lead. LSU almost beat themselves with so many penalties losing 130 yards due to 14 penalties while Alabama only had 2 penalties for 15 yards. John Parker Wilson had his worst game of the season as a passer completing only 14 passes out of 40 for a 35 percent completion rate. Matt Flynn completed 24 of 44 passes for a 54.5 completion rate.
Looking at the total yards with 475 for LSU and 254 for Alabama you would think the game would have had a runaway score but the penalties kept the game close for Alabama.
In the battle of the current LSU coach Les Miles and former coach Nick Saban Miles came out on top but Saban gave him a run for his money and speaking of money Saban making $4 million this season is way out of line but suspect there are coaches in college football making as much or more than Saban.
Back to the game itself it was as good as it gets and LSU is now one step closer to being in the SEC championship game thanks to a never give up attitude despite all the penalties. Take away the penalites and this game would have been a cakewalk for LSU and Saban realizes that.
LSU can now concentrate on getting ready for Louisiana Tech next week then Mississippi then the season closing game with Arkansas which should be another classic considering they will be facing Arkansas and Darren McFadden who set an SEC record last night running for 323 yards.
