Tonight is game 1 of the NLCS, the Colorado Rockies are battling it out with their division rival Arizona Diamondbacks in a 7-game series. The game starts at 8:37 P.M. ET, on TBS in Arizona's Chase Field. Tomorrow night is game 1 of the ALCS between the Boston Red Sox, and the Cleveland Indians, that game will start at 7 P.M. E.T. at Fenway. Here is who will win, and why.
ALCS
Game 1: Sabathia versus Beckett- October 12
Game 2: Carmona versus Schilling- October 13
Game 3: Matsuzaka versus Westbrook- October 15
Game 4: Wakefield versus Byrd- October 16
Game 5: undetermined (if necessary)- October 18
Game 6: undetermined (if necessary)- October 20
Game 7: undetermined (if necessary)- October 21
- The Boston Red Sox are supposed to quickly, and easily win this series, according to some. But, the main thung for the Sox, is not to underestimate this Cleveland Indian team. The Indians will give Boston a run for their money, their hitting was great in the ALDS against the Yanks, and their pitching looked even better. In this series, the key factor will be the pitching, and the Sox have the edge when it comes to pitching. Sox win in 5 games.
NLCS
Game 1: Francis versus Webb- October 11
Game 2: Jimenez versus Davis- October 12
Game 3: Hernandez versus Morales- October 14
Game 4: undetermined- October 15
Game 5: undetermined (if necessary)- October 17
Game 6: undetermined (if necessary)- October 19
Game 7: undetermined (if necessary)- October 20
- The key factor in this series is hitting, since none of the teams have the best pitching staffs. Colorado has been great, and will certainly not cool off against the young pitching staff of the D'Backs. This series is pretty much even, but Colorado has the momentum, and the edge over the D'Backs under the category of hitting, So.... Colorado wins in 6 games.
Red Sox over Rockies in the World Series.
