Kyle Lowry to the NBA

7
Vote

Villanova University's Kyle Lowry has decided to remain in the upcoming NBA draft, giving up his last two years of eligibility. This decision changes the face the Villanova basketball greatly. Coming off of a great season that came up just short, many Villanova fans, myself included, were looking forward to next year with Lowry and Curtis Sumpter returning. Instead Villanova will be forced to compete without their three great guards from this past season. Allan Ray and Randy Foye both graduated and now Lowry has decided to leave.

Because of a transfer, the Wildcats were acutally over the limit for scholarships. Now, they are not. As far as play, Lowry should have stayed and work on his jumper / 2-point shot. However, Lowry is too arrogant / cocky and the scouts have convinced him that he may go in the first round. Lowry will not last long in the NBA. Speaking of which, the Big 5, which includes Nova, St. Joe's, LaSalle, Temple, and Penn may not have a single team in the NCAA Dance in 2007. (This would be the first time since the 1970's when the tourney was not 64 strong.) St. Joe's is going to be VERY young. So will Villanova. Temple is just a mess, LaSalle is only slightly better. Penn has the talent to win the Ivy, but with a new coach, who knows where the program is heading. Rough times are ahead for Philly college b-ball fans.

should read 3-point shot, not 2 point shot. Can someone with editing ability change that.

Crap, what is my fantasy team going to do without Lowry? Looks like another year the basement for the Laptop Snatchers.
