Born on April 14, 1976 in Wichita, Kansas, Kyle Farnsworth (Kyle Lynn Farnsworth) played for the Chicago Cubs, Detroit Tigers, Atlanta Braves and New York Yankees over the course of his 8 year career. Farnsworth broke into the bigs on April 29, 1999 with the Chicago Cubs, and put up a 5.05 ERA in 130 innings pitched in 1999, his rookie year.

Most people believe that Kyle Farnsworth's best season was 2005, when he posted a 2.19 ERA, notched 16 saves and struck out 87 batters.
