Born on February 18, 1968 in Newburyport, Massachusetts, Kyle Abbott (Lawrence Kyle Abbott) played for the California Angels and Philadelphia Phillies over the course of his 4 year career. Abbott broke into the bigs on September 10, 1991 with the California Angels, and put up a 5.13 ERA in 133.1 innings pitched in 1992, his rookie year.
