Acquired

The Blue Bombers acquired Cavil in an Aug. 18, 2006 trade with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats.

Traded to the Hamilton Tiger-Cats by the Edmonton Eskimos in exchange for a fourth-round pick in the 2006 CFL Canadian College Draft.

2005

Finished the season with the Grey Cup Champion Edmonton Eskimos after a early season trade brought him out west from Montreal...was acquired by the Eskimos on July 31st from Montreal in exchange for linebacker Clinton Wayne...in 10 games played during the regular season between the two clubs, Cavil had 32 receptions for 377 yards and one touchdown...in seven games with Edmonton he had 31 receptions for 259 yards and one score...had 11 receptions for 118 yards in three games with Montreal...after missing the first two games of the regular season with Montreal due to injury, Cavil had two receptions for 23 yards in the Alouettes 32-29 victory to Edmonton on July 8th...had five receptions for a season high 65 yards in Montreal's 51-46 loss at Winnipeg on July 22nd...in his Eskimos debut, a 25-19 loss at B.C. on August 5th, Cavil had four receptions for 23 yards...had four receptions for 55 yards and one touchdown, his first as an Eskimo in Edmonton's 36-26 victory over Montreal on August 26th...missed the final five games of the regular season and the playoffs, including Edmonton's 38-35 Grey Cup victory over Montreal due to injury.

2004

Had his breakout year in the CFL, surpassing the 1,000 yard receiver plateau for the first time in his pro career...was part of the Alouettes record breaking receiving core that saw four receivers finish the season with over 1,000 yards...it was the first time in pro history that a team had four players finish with over 1,000 yards receiving in a single season...finished fourth on Montreal with 78 receptions for 1,090 yards and seven touchdowns and made one special teams tackle...received his first career East All-Star selection...was the Alouettes leading receiver with seven receptions for 103 yards and one score in Montreal's 42-23 victory over Calgary on July 15th...in the Alouettes 24-20 victory over Saskatchewan on August 5th Cavil had five receptions for 104 yards...caught two touchdowns (13 and 9 yards) from Anthony Calvillo in the first half of Montreal's 35-19 loss at Saskatchewan on October 2nd...in Montreal's 32-29 loss to B.C. on October 17th Cavil had seven receptions for 108 yards and one touchdown...had one reception for 10 yards in Montreal's 26-18 East Final loss to Toronto.

2003

Played in 12 games during his second season with Montreal...injuries to his right hamstring and right knee had him watching from the sidelines for six games...finished third on the Alouettes with 57 receptions for 686 yards and two touchdowns...also saw action on special teams, making five tackles...had six receptions for a season high 109 yards in Montreal's 32-31 victory at Saskatchewan on July 4th...in the Alouettes 30-10 victory over Ottawa on September 14th Cavil had five receptions for 60 yards and one touchdown...had six receptions for 83 yards and one touchdown in Montreal's 28-23 victory over Saskatchewan on September 21st...in the Alouettes 30-26 East Final victory over Toronto Cavil had six receptions for 66 yards and one touchdown...played in Montreal's 34-22 Grey Cup loss to Edmonton.

2002

The Montreal Alouettes signed Cavil as a free-agent on October 25th as they were on route to a Grey Cup Championship, following his release from the Cleveland Browns...played in one game during the regular season, making his CFL debut in Montreal's 43-34 victory at Ottawa on October 26th...caught a 19 yard touchdown pass from Anthony Calvillo in the victory over the Renegades...was released by Montreal on November 1st and subsequently re-signed on November 6th...had signed as a free-agent with Cleveland on February 5th...attended the Browns training camp and was released on August 31st...initially played with the Scottish Claymores during the spring after Cleveland allocated him to NFL Europe...finished fourth on the Claymores with 15 receptions for 197 yards.

2001

Attended Buffalo's training camp and caught two passes for 20 yards during the pre-season...was on of the Bills final cuts when he was released on September 2nd.

2000

The talented receiver signed as an un-drafted free-agent with the Buffalo Bills on April 28th...was on of four un-drafted free-agents to make the Bills 53-man roster...as a rookie he saw action in all 16 games during the regular season as a fourth receiver and on special teams...finished four receptions for 66 yards and 12 special teams tackles...was slowed during training camp and missed two pre-season games with a leg injury but still finished with four receptions for 61 yards...made his NFL debut in the Bills 16-13 season opening victory over Tennessee and saw action on the special teams unit...saw action primarily on special teams during the early portions of the season...played in a four receiver set in Buffalo's 27-24 overtime victory over San Diego on October 15th in addition to his duties on special teams...caught his first NFL pass in the third quarter of the Bills 31-27 loss at Minnesota on October 22nd...finished the loss to the Vikings with two receptions for 22 yards...had one reception for five yards in Buffalo's 31-17 loss at Tampa on November 26th...in the Bills 42-23 victory at Seattle on December 23rd Cavil caught a 39 yard pass from Doug Flutie.

College

Played three seasons (1997-1999) with the nationally ranked University of Texas Longhorns…finished his career as one of the most decorated receivers in Texas history, ranking second on the school's career record list with 174 receptions and 2,279 yards…in 32 career games Cavil had 10 receiving touchdowns…had seven career 100 yard receiving, ranking him fifth on the school’s all-time list...was an All-American selection as a junior and a two-time All-Big 12 conference pick…started 28 consecutive games at wide receiver to finish out his Longhorn career. (1999) Set school and conference records with 100 receptions for 1,188 yards as a junior…started all 13 games he played during the season at wide receiver and led the Longhorns with six receiving touchdowns…had three 100 yard receiving games…was a semi-finalist for the Fred Biletnikoff Award following his senior season, annually given to the nation's top receiver…named second team All-American by the Associated Press and Sportspage.Com, third team All-American from The Sporting News and a unanimous All-Big Twelve selection…had six receptions for a career high 180 yards and two touchdowns in Texas’s 69-17 victory over Stanford on September 4th…his 180 yards receiving was the sixth highest single game total in school history…in the Longhorns 35-17 loss to Kansas State on October 2nd, Cavil had seven receptions for 103 yards…had a career high 11 receptions for 106 yards in Texas’s 44-41 victory at Iowa State on October 30th…in the Longhorn’s 22-6 Big 12 championship loss to Nebraska Cavil was Texas’s leading receiver with five receptions for 90 yards…did not play in the Longhorns 27-6 Cotton Bowl loss to Arkansas. (1998) Started all 11 games at wide receiver as a sophomore…finished second on the Longhorns with 51 receptions for 775 yards and three touchdowns…had three games with at least 100 yards receiving…was a third team All-Big 12 selection…had seven receptions for a season high 128 yards in the Longhorns 49-31 loss at UCLA on September 12th…in Texas’s 54-33 victory over Iowa State on October 3rd, Cavil had six receptions for 102 yards…had nine receptions for 109 yards in the Longhorns 37-34 victory over Oklahoma State on November 7th…in Texas’s 38-11 Cotton Bowl victory over Mississippi State Cavil had three receptions for 31 yards and one touchdown. (1997) Appeared in eight games with three starts as a true freshman…finished second on the Longhorns with 23 receptions for 316 yards and one touchdown…had seven receptions for a season high 112 yards in Texas’s 24-10 loss to Texas Tech on November 8th…in the Longhorns 45-31 victory over Kansas on November 15th Cavil had seven receptions for 82 yards and one touchdown, the first of his collegiate career.
