Kurt Ploeger (Kurt Alan Ploeger) was born on December 1, 1962 in Iowa Falls, Iowa. After going to high school at LeSueur (MN), Ploeger attended Gustavus Adolphus College. Ploeger made his professional debut in the NFL in 1986 with the Green Bay Packers. He played for the Minnesota Vikings and Green Bay Packers over the course of his 2 year career.
