Kobe Puts Offseason in Perspective

While Kobe's frustration was certainly understandable, the way he expressed it was immature.
While Kobe's frustration was certainly understandable, the way he expressed it was immature.

After an offseason full of trade rumors, radio talk show tours, and Irvine videos, Kobe Bryant finally put the whole soap opera into perspective earlier this week when training cam opened up in El Segundo, California.

During the media day, Bryant said, "I was frustrated. I blew up. I was frustrated. Now it's about taking the team we have to greater heights. Priority No. 1 is to bring a title back to L.A. Hopefully, we're all on the same page."

While Kobe Bryant's frustration with team management is certainly understandable; the way he expressed was certainly not. A team leader, which somehow number twenty-four qualifies for, is not expected to bash his teammates over the airways. When did Magic Johnson, Tim Duncan, or Michael Jordan, ever complain publicly about their lack of a supporting cast. These issues need to be kept in house and not on the radio.

I'd be frustrated if management had traded the most dominant center in the game despite my constant protests....oh wait. Kobe, you made the bed, now fuck in it.

Kobe has isisted since the Shaq trade that he never asked for it. The trade wasn't too bad in the first place. They did trade an aging Shaq for Lamar Odom, who is decent, and Caron Butler, who made the All-Star team. The problem is they traded Butler for Kwame Brown a year later.

The problem is that major athletes don't live in what we would call the real world. They live lives where all their needs are catered for--even the illegal ones. I am not one bit surprised that Kobe said what he said...he feels he is the team. It's no good when no one can tell you how full of shit you really are when you are clearly talking out of you ass.
