As much as I hate to say this, it will mostly likely happen, Kobe Bryant will demand a trade, for real this time. Kobe met with Jerry Buss on Friday while vacationing in Spain to talk about their confusing, frustrating and all around ^#(%ed up situation. Supposedly, Kobe requested to be traded once again in this meeting and shocked the crap out of alcky Buss. God I hope not! If this goes down, the Lakers will go down as well. Nothing would be worse for this team than trading Kobe Bryant. How do you trade the best player in the NBA? How could you expect to get equal value in return? Impossible is the answer, there is no trade possible that would give the Lakers equal value for the scoring champ, unless they got LeBron James, which is even more impossible and still not exactly equal value. Just when I thought things would change for the better for all Laker fans, it just got even worse. Rumor has it the possible destinations for Kobe are Chicago, New York and Phoenix. First of all, you can count the Phoenix Suns out, no way are the Lakers trading him to their Pacific Division rival. The New York Knicks don't have the player power to make a good deal for Kobe and why would he want to go to a similiar situation. The only likely choice is the Chicago Bulls, the Bulls have a lot players with value that would allow them to make a move for Bryant. Ben Gordon, who is always on the trading block. Luol Deng, who showed what he can do in the playoffs this year and Kirk Hinrich, which would finally give the Lakers a solid point guard. Whatever happens, you can be sure that the Lakers will be a completely different looking team next season and this might be the beginning of a rebuilding era without Kobe Bryant.
