Not hot dogs -- bratwursts.
Takeru Kobayashi downed 58 brats in 10 minutes -- smashing the world record of 35 set last year -- in Sheboygan, Michigan. He's $8,000 richer for his tummy troubles.
In second place was Joey Chestnut, the same guy who came in second to Kobayashi in the Nathan's Hot Dog Eating Contest in July. Chestnut's 45 brats would have been a record but for Kobayashi.
