Kitty Bransfield (William Edward Bransfield) was born on January 7, 1875 in Worcester, Massachusetts. He made his Major League debut on August 22, 1898 for the Boston Beaneaters. In 1901, his rookie year, he hit .295 with 0 home runs and 91 RBI. Bransfield played for the Boston Beaneaters, Pittsburgh Pirates, Philadelphia Phillies and Chicago Cubs over the course of his 12 year career.

Most people believe that Kitty Bransfield's best season was 1901, when he hit for a .295 average and knocked in 91 runs.
