Born on February 10, 1873 in Lynchburg, Virginia, Kit McKenna (James William McKenna) played for the Brooklyn Bridegrooms and Baltimore Orioles over the course of his 2 year career. McKenna broke into the bigs on July 7, 1898 with the Brooklyn Bridegrooms, and put up a 5.63 ERA in 100.2 innings pitched in 1898, his rookie year.
