Born on December 1, 1970 in Hoyleton, Illinois, Kirk Rueter (Kirk Wesley Rueter) played for the Montreal Expos and San Francisco Giants over the course of his 13 year career. Rueter broke into the bigs on July 7, 1993 with the Montreal Expos, and put up a 2.73 ERA in 85.2 innings pitched in 1993, his rookie year.

Most people believe that Kirk Rueter's best season was 1997, when he posted a 3.45 ERA, won 13 games and struck out 115 batters.
