Kirby Puckett Passes

Hall of Famer Kirby Puckett passed away today at the age of 44. Pucket suffered a stroke yesterday. Kirby Puckett was the face of the Minnesota Twins during the 1980s and early 1990s. Pucketts career was cut short due to an eye injury in 1995. Puckett finished his career with 207 HRs and a lifetime .318 batting average.

apparently he put on a TON of weight since he retired and that was a major cause of the stroke.

A testament to his greatness is that most baseball fans can't even name another Twin from those years, and they were clearly a great team during that time. He also looked really cool because he was one of the first players to wear the terminator sunglasses.
