Born on April 21, 1977 in Houston, Texas, Kip Wells (Robert Kip Wells) played for the Chicago White Sox, Pittsburgh Pirates and Texas Rangers over the course of his 8 year career. Wells broke into the bigs on August 2, 1999 with the Chicago White Sox, and put up a 6.02 ERA in 98.2 innings pitched in 2000, his rookie year.

Most people believe that Kip Wells's best season was 2003, when he posted a 3.28 ERA, won 10 games and struck out 147 batters.
