Born on April 15, 1886 in Toledo, Iowa, King Cole (Leonard Leslie Cole) played for the Chicago Cubs, Pittsburgh Pirates and New York Yankees over the course of his 6 year career. Cole broke into the bigs on October 6, 1909 with the Chicago Cubs, and put up a 1.80 ERA in 239.2 innings pitched in 1910, his rookie year.

Most people believe that King Cole's best season was 1910, when he posted a 1.80 ERA, won 20 games and struck out 114 batters.
