Paul Kimura (United States) won the United States National Snooker Championship 2006.
Five-time US Champion Tom Kollins (United States) lost in the deciding frame to George Lai (United States), the defending champion. It was arguably the best game of the opening round.
Romil Azemat (United States) was favourite, but not Number 1 seed for the tournament. After beating 1997 winner Truman Wu (United States) in the opening round, he went 3-0 down in his Semi Final against Lai. However, he stormed back, and won the match 4-3 on the black.
The final saw Azemat take on Paul Kimura (United States). Kimura, from California, won 5-3 against the favourite to win the title.
