Kids pitching in

The last fwe days the Boston Red Sox have had a few great preformances by rookies, when they really needed it. Clay Buchholz pitched a no hitter, Jon Lester pithced great and Jocoby Ellsbury had a great game. I was just wondering what you guys think of rookies pitching to help teams in the late season stretch. Let me know.

Anything you can get from young players during the season is a major plus. You just can not normally rely on them performing because they have never been there before. But as Florida has shown us multiple times, because they may never have been there before, means they don't know any better but to win.

Speaking of great catches, you can't forget Jacoby Ellsbury's sweet catch, and Pedroia's 2 great plays yesterday (since we're talking about young players). It's great to see the Red Sox's young players are helping out guys like Ortiz and Manny now.

Its nice to have good young players. I rather have grown talent like Pedroia and the others than go out a pay alot for some crappy player people say are "the best player on the market". I never supported the Lugo or Drew signing. To be honest, I was even skepitcal about trading Hanley Ramirez. In a way it worked out fine.
